Teengress Development Foundation was born from a deep conviction: that when teenagers discover their purpose early, they begin to live with direction, confidence, and influence. What started as small conversations with a few young people has grown into a fast-rising movement that’s igniting purpose, empowering teens, and enabling change across Nigeria.
Our journey is a reflection of growth — from one-on-one mentorship to community-building programs that now align with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including Quality Education (SDG 4), Gender Equality (SDG 5), Decent Work & Economic Growth (SDG 8), and Reduced Inequalities (SDG 10).
2022 — The Seeds of Purpose
We began humbly in 2022 with one-on-one and small group mentorship sessions in Lagos. Our approach was simple: listen, guide, and walk with teenagers as they navigate life's early questions. These initial sessions uncovered a powerful truth — teenagers were hungry for direction, and they needed trusted voices to guide them.
2023 — Growing Influence, Expanding Reach
In 2023, we transitioned from private sessions to strategic school outreaches, delivering impactful mentorship to hundreds of students. We developed custom teaching guides, partnered with educators, and reached over 5,000 teenagers across Lagos and Ogun States. This year laid the foundation for what would become our structured mentorship model.
We also began amplifying messages around Purpose Discovery, SDGs Education, and Youth Leadership, equipping students to see themselves as agents of change in their schools and communities.
2024 — The Birth of Teengress
In 2024, Teengress Development Foundation was officially launched. With our new identity came greater responsibility and vision. We introduced our flagship initiative — The Achieve Greatness Mentorship Program, mentoring hundreds of students in selected schools.
This year also marked the expansion of our volunteer base, the launch of our digital learning content, and intentional partnerships with like-minded youth-focused organizations.
2025 — Scaling with Purpose
This year, we launched our most ambitious project yet: Project Purpose 300 — a statewide campaign to reach 30,000 students in 300 schools across Lagos with structured mentorship.
With each school reached, we are not only teaching purpose discovery and leadership — we're helping students align their personal growth with global goals. Our sessions now integrate elements of gender equality, mental health awareness, goal-setting, and self-leadership — creating an experience that transforms.
